Bookmarks provide shortcuts to interesting places on a map. As a map author, you create them based on the current location and scale of the map. When others click a bookmark, the map zooms to that location.
Go to an existing bookmark
To go to a bookmark, do the following:
- Open the map in Map Viewer Classic.
 - Click Bookmarks 
 and click the name of the place you want the map to zoom to. 
Create a bookmark
To create a bookmark, complete the following steps:
- Open the map in Map Viewer Classic.
 - Navigate the map to the location and scale you want to bookmark.
 - Click Bookmarks 
, click Add Bookmark, and enter a name for the bookmark. 
Update a bookmark
Update a bookmark in any of the following ways:
- To reorder a bookmark, click Bookmarks 
 and drag the bookmark to the new location in the bookmark list. - To rename a bookmark, click Bookmarks 
, click Edit 
 next to the bookmark you want to rename, and enter a new name.  - To delete a bookmark, click Bookmarks 
 and click Remove 
 next to the bookmark you want to delete.
